Dr. Stephen P. Weeks
President
Dr. Weeks is responsible for overall direction of FPI's technology transfer
programs. He is an experienced technical and business development director
with over 18 years of domestic and international assignments. Dr. Weeks
spent 9 years as a research scientist and team leader at AT&T-Bell Labs and,
more recently, was the Manager of British Petroleum's Shared Technologies
Division and former Business Coordinator for BP's ventures and technology
transfer operations. At Competitive Technologies, Inc., he was President of
the CTI Intercorporate Licensing subsidiary, and a Senior Vice President in
the Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of Delaware,
a M.S. in Physics from William and Mary, and a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics
from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Licensing
Executives Society, the Technology Transfer Society, the American Physical
Society, and several local Cleveland Organizations. Dr. Weeks is co-chair
and co-founder of the LES IP Marketing committee.

Mr. Michael F. Allan
Vice President - Technology Assessment
Mr. Allan is responsible for
the assessment of feasibility of technology opportunities and developing
programs to effectively market and commercialize them. He has spearheaded a
number of engagements in both physical and life sciences areas. Mr. Allan
has in-depth knowledge and experience in technology and competitive
assessment. As the former Manager of Eveready Battery Company’s Technical
Information Center, Mr. Allan directed and performed a wide range of
business analysis research, proprietary database searching, and competitive
analyses in various technical, product, and patent assignments. At
Competitive Technologies, Inc., he was Director of Information Resources. He
earned his B.S. in Chemistry and a M.S. in Information Sciences from the
University of Buffalo. Mr. Allan is a member of the Society of Competitive
Intelligence Professionals, the National Association of Patent
Practitioners, the Patent Information Users' Group, and the Association of
University Technology Managers (AUTM). |

Dr.
Guillaume J. Raux
Technology Specialist
Dr. Raux is a new addition to
the First Principals, Inc. team. He recently completed his Ph.D. in
Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University where he specialized in
Wireless Communication and Signal Processing. Dr. Raux started his
professional career as a lead engineer at Optima Systems. He speaks
fluent French, Spanish, and English.
His background includes a Bachelor in Mathematics and Physics at the
University of Rennes I, France, a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, and a
Masters in Electrical Engineering/Telecommunication both obtained at West
Virginia University. He is also an active member of Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Dr. Gary
P. Evans
European Representative, ANGLE Technology LLC
Dr. Evans is the U.S. Chief Executive Officer for ANGLE Technology Ltd.
ANGLE is FPI’s U.K. partner with expertise in technology incubation and
management. Gary has extensive experience in the creation and growth of
technology-based companies, and the development of strategic public sector
interventions to support them, gained in the U.S., U.K., and the European
Union. Gary has worked extensively in the field of science park management
and development, and for four years was Director of the Aberdeen Science and
Technology Park in Aberdeen, Scotland. Gary has a B.Sc. in Chemistry and a
Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and has worked in a wide range of technical
disciplines, including software development and instrumentation. He has
extensive experience of product development and the commercialization of
technology and was Visiting Professor in Innovation Management with the
Robert Gordon University from 1997 to 1999. |
